Technology devices for professors October 30, 2012

Listed below are some of the programs that I incorporate into my distance education classes.

1) Camtasia-This program is excellent for my audio/video lecture powerpoint slides.  These lectures on Camtasia are a compressed reduced version of a standard in class lecture and make for excellent review guides.  Camtasia videos can be downloaded to and Ipod, Iphone, or standard MP3 player.    I have also provided the link to the Camtasia program to those that might want to check it out.  http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html

2) Respondus- This is a web lockdown browser for the purpose of protecting the integrity of an online assessment.  With respondus professors can implement a test with fear of students opening a second window, printing, or screen capturing the test.  I have also provided the link to Respondus program to those that might want to check it out. http://www.respondus.com/products/lockdown-browser/
